A small stepper motor driver board with an IC allowing for smooth operation of up to four stepper motors with only 2 wires per motor
The circuit board is a breakout board of the AX1201728SG stepper motor driver, together with all passive components, required for driver operation. The driver is designed for analogue instrumentation - instrument cluster in the automotive industry and instrumentation in the aeronautical and other industries. It is suitable for flight simulator gauges.
The circuit allows the user to drive four motors as it contains four identical drivers on the same chip. The driver supports microstepping (one microstep equals to 1/12 of a degree). The microstepping allows for silent, smooth and appealing movement of a pointer/needle.
Some compatible stepper motors are X27, X40 and many others. The driver is compatible with Mobiflight since version 9.7.0. Eight Arduino pins control 4 stepper motors. Mobiflight setup example is available in the attachments tab. The driver is also compatible with many Arduino stepper motor libraries.
