The FlitePal Boeing 737NG Forward Overhead Panel is a very close replica of the actual aircraft’s cockpit panel. The main structure is made of 2.0mm bended aluminium metal sheet, welded together with two 3.0mm ribs, that provide stability and mounting option.
A total of 17 1.5mm aluminium subpanels are attached to the main panel structure with M4 cheese head screws, that are covered with DZUS replica caps to visually replicate the actual panel.
Engraved acrylic front panels sit on top of the aluminium structure. They are slotted on their back side to provide space for switches, and, where installed, backlighting circuit boards.
The panel has a total of 72 toggle switches, 10 rotary switches, 6 pushbutton switches, 2 encoders and 5 potentiometers, 101 indicator lights, 7 gauges and 7-segment displays for the AC/DC metering and pressurization panels. Two rotary switches and two toggle switches have a holding solenoid function. That equipment is further described in the next sections of this manual.
